Mikhael Missakabo is a founding member of Pamoja. Originally from Katanga in the DRC, he has been living in Canada for over twenty years. Besides writing for AfricaFiles, Mikhael teaches math as well as sciences at George Brown College. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto.
Steve Soloman is the current volunteer president of Pamoja Tujenge. Formerly employed by Corrections Ontario, Steven is a founding member of Pamoja and is fully committed to working with Pamoja’s partners in the DRC to help them achieve a sustainable health and education infrastructure..
Christine Larouche, is a founding member of Pamoja and former volunteer president. She is currently employed as a a museum audience research specialist for a firm based in Massachusetts in the U.S.
Energy Manyimo is a Human Resources Management consultant currently doing research in the field of disability and education in Africa. He is a founder member of Pamoja Tujenge and was its secretary for 2 years. Energy is passionate about empowering rural communities in Africa in a way that will alleviate poverty and remove the negative impact left behind by colonialism. As a graduate student he also holds tutorials with African Studies undergraduate students at the University of Toronto and has recently published a co-authored book Spirituality, Education and Society: An integrated Approach where he was on the editorial team.
Nancy Ruth Jackson is a charter member of the Pamoja board who handles our quarterly newsletter. Retired after many years as a freelance illustrator for the publishing and advertising industries, she now works as a scientific glassblower.
