Welcome to Pamoja Solutions

Pamoja Solutions supports the village of Katebi (and the smaller neighbouring villages of Nzilo and Kazembe), located in the South of the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Katebi is very different today than it was a few years ago. While we at Pamoja struggled with Covid restrictions and the loss of our partner in DRC the people of Katebi stepped up and set their own course.
 
The land Pamoja cleared is under active cultivation and the “maternelle” (Kindergarten school) we helped build has been re-organized and enlarged. This year, thanks to the help of a new dynamic local partner and the people of Katebi who formed a Parents' Association,  Pamoja will fund a full-time teacher as well as a teacher’s assistant to keep up with the demand for education in the growing village.
 
In addition, with the help of our supporters, Pamoja will purchase a commercial oil press to provide a means by which women of the village can make oil from the sunflowers and peanut bushes that we have helped cultivate, use oil for their own use, and then sell the surplus oil for a source of steady revenue, at a market in Kolwezi, the closest city.
